Milbemax is recommended for treatment of mixed infections by gastro-intestinal worms in cats & kittens over 6 weeks of age and lactating queens including:
Roundworms - Toxocara cati
Hookworms - Ancylostoma tubaeforme
Tapeworm - Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp.
Prevention of Heartworm - Dirofilaria immitis
Treatment of Gatro-intestinal worms:
Cats & Kittens: Treat at 6, 8 and 12 weeks and then every 3 months or on veterinary advice.
Pregnant Queens: Prior to mating, 10 days before kittening and 2 and 4 weeks after kittening
Prevention of Heartworms:
Give once a month orally.
Dosage and Administration:
MILBEMAX is given orally to cats at the minimal dose rate of 2 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg body weight. Milbemax for cats are beef flavoured for easier administration.
Milbemax for small cats & kittens:
1/2 tablet treats 0.5-1kg
1 tablets treats 1-2kg
Composition:
MILBEMAX Film-coated tablets for small cats and kittens: a tablet containing 4 mg milbemycin oxime and 10 mg praziquantel.
Also available: Milbemax Large Cats Tablets 2pk (treats cats over 2kg).
